WebSep 6, 2009 · It has rear air suspension but the ride is still firmer than any 1 ton I have owned. Bumps can be somewhat jarring when empty. And for what its worth, the C4500 doesnt have much more (if any) towing capacity than a 1 ton pickup. The 4500 is at 26k combination weight which will put you in a 16k trailer. The 550's are at 30-33k.
